10:25: A bit of breaking news. We just talked to Rocky Knuth and he let us know that the Dogs just signed with XO Industries as their new paint sponsor.
The Dogs came into this event with no paint sponsor and it really hurt their preparation coming in. Rocky told us, "We'll be a lot better prepared and we'll play a lot better next event."
10:10AM: The PB Vipers just beat the RnT All Stars (now 0-2). The Ironmen are closing out the HShock 5-0 with a minute left (ended at 7-0).
It's actually pretty cold here today, but it's warming as we speak. Once again we have bright blue skies. The Red Legion beat Philly 7-3.Check out the Dynasty versus X-Factor gallery by Tim Larson - shot today (Friday)
So far we have only three teams that are 3-0 and both are in D3--DirtLife and No Limt lead the pack in their division and are well on the way to the next round.
7:15AM: It's crack of dawn here in Phoenix and we're headed out. Tim and Isaac Larson arrived last night. We'll have photo galleries galoretoday beginning at around 11:30 Mtn time. We're shooting video today as well.
6:15PM: Okay we just added another photo gallery, this one a little bit bigger. Check back all day again tomorrow as we add galleries, update scores and give you the full scoop.
Kat's Second Gallery
4:10PM: XSV just beat RNT All Stars 4-2. Lots of buzz around the event, a lot of it centered around Dynasty and their new sponsors Empire/KEE and Guerrilla Air. The venue is perfect. The fields are in great shape--nice flat grass. The skies are completely blue and there's just a slight breeze with temps in the 70s. This may be the best weather of any day of pro/am paintball ever. CDR is also now 2-0 in Division One. Aftermath II just beat Fierce 5-2 and the LA Hitman won their first match.
MORE PHOTO GALLERIES COMING TONIGHT
Shawn Walker is here playing the event. Although the trade show is a bit small, it's jumping right now. Lots of paintball VIPS in the house.
2:40PM: Just watched some D-1 games and picked up some scores from the PSP. Cross Eyed Paintball won their first two games. Bushwackers split their two. Houston Hate is 1-0. East Coast Killers and Palm Beach Venom are each 0-2.
2:15PM:In D-2 Top Gun Factory just beat Midwest Arson 5-3 and the Palm Beach Viper Kids and Shogun just won their first games. In D-3 CO Blitz won again.
1:30PM: In D-2 Fierce and Velocity Wrecking Crew both won 5-3 games. Thunderstruck and Unlimited are 1-1 and Cross Eyed lost their first game by 4 points.
We got our first (of 10 total) Phoenix Gallery up. Check it out HERE.
Dynasty just beat the Naughty Dogs.
Chicago Wise Guys are the only team that is currently 2-0. CFP Factory and Free Train Rides each went 1-0 in D-2.
In D-3 Fierce is 2-0. Boom, Wired, Cross Eye, VCK and Chicago Blitz each are 1-0.
The NE Hurricanes missed their connecting flight due to thunderstorms in Atlanta (actually we heard they lost track of time in the bar... just saying...). Most of the team is not here but the PSP has pushed their games back so they have the day off.
10AM: Okay Philly beat X-Factor, the Ironmen beat Impact and the Russians just beat Damage in the pro division. Damage had a 5-1 lead and stole defeat from the jaws of victory.
We're here in very sunny and beautiful Phoenix ready to fill you in little by little all weekend. Some interesting happenings... you already know Dynasty signed with Guerrilla Air. We're hearing a rumor that at the rest of the PSP events the league is replacing the center "X" bunkers with "A" bunkers... just a rumor for now. We'll dig deeper. Just talked to Bonnie at Monkey With A Gun--their new film is getting close. We heard Alex Fraige got a sneak peak at some of the film, so when we catch up with him we'll give you the scoop.
Much more all day. Full photo gallery coming later from the on-field action.
